Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page discussed being disrespected on a plane with Robert Plant recently. He also discussed rejecting a major Led Zeppelin offer.

“On this day in 1968, I was in transit en route to LA, California to play the Whisky a Go Go with Led Zeppelin.

There were very few travellers at the deserted Seattle Airport awaiting the flight to LA. The plane was seriously delayed and it seemed like many hours passed sitting and waiting for the flight to be called. When out of the sidereal gloom, an announcement was made over the public address – ‘Happy New Year’. It became clear this had not been the best way to spend a New Year’s Eve. ⠀

Hope you all have a really good one!”

Page also wrote, “On this day in 2005, I was in Goa ahead of New Year’s Eve. Following my trip to Cambodia, I went to Goa for the celebrations. They were setting up at the hotel while I was there.”

Brenkwando commented, “I remember being stuck at the Seattle airport one New Years Eve as well. I remember we were in the plane on the runway delayed because of fog. Midnight hit and the captain wished everyone a happy New Year, “oh and also sorry about the delays folks. Hopefully this clears up shortly.” It didn’t. Ah memories. :)”

Adelemarie19 chimed in, “Happy New Year To You And Scarlett, Wishing You Health and Happiness xaThank you for all the stories you have shared this year!” Saskiahendrikameyer wrote, “Have a lovely New Year’s Eve Jimmy😃 At midnight I’ll raise my glass of sparkling wine to you.” Jimmy Page taking a shot at Depeche Mode was recently revealed.
