Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page revealed that he was ‘frustrated’ after dealing with Canadian Border Services Officers before a concert with The Yardbirds in a new Instagram post. Jimmy Page recently posted a Led Zeppelin screw up that fans mocked.
“On this day in 1967, The Yardbirds played The Kerrisdale Arena, Vancouver.
After another strenuous and frustrating episode at the Canadian border, we had come from San Francisco to Vancouver to play a psychedelic bonanza at the Kerrisdale Arena on this day and at the Garden Auditorium on the 1st. At this time, the Yardbirds album ‘Little Games’ had been released for about a week.
The music featured here is the home recording on 12-string acoustic guitar and auto-harp of ‘Only The Black Rose’ from the ‘Little Games’ album.”
Greta Van Fleet’s former manager revealed last week why their singer is capable of fronting a Led Zeppelin reunion. Page also wrote, “On this day in 1966, I played Dayton’s Auditorium with The Yardbirds.
This was the first date of any American tour for me, and on this day I played on bass. In fact, although having had two visits to the States prior to this, this was the first time I ever played a show there. The first date here in Minneapolis, Minnesota on the 5th of August was at Dayton’s Department Store, 8th Floor Auditorium and the surroundings felt quite surreal.”
