Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page discussed his friend Wilko Johnson having a career threatening health scare in a new social media post. Page recently leaked a recent Led Zeppelin reunion photo with Robert Plant and John Paul Jones.

“On this day in 1947, Wilko Johnson, the Dr Feelgood guitarist and singer/songwriter was born.⁣

I saw Wilko perform at Koko in Camden in May 2013 and the atmosphere was electric! This was originally billed as his farewell tour (followed by his album Going Back Home with Roger Daltry) but thankfully Wilko miraculously survived a health scare and is still performing with full force today. Happy birthday Wilko!⁣”

Jimmy Page recently revealed his final Chris Cornell photo. Page wrote in another recent post, “On this day in 2000, I played Jones Beach, NY with The Black Crowes.⁣

The venue is an amphitheatre and I had warm memories of the audience at the Jones Beach venue from the Page and Plant ’98 tour so I was looking forward to playing again for them, especially with The Black Crowes.⁣
