Kiefer Sutherland Cancels U.S. Tour Dates Over Ticket Sales
Kiefer Sutherland has cancelled the U.S. leg of his current tour, saying the dates were not selling enough tickets to justify going ahead. The 59-year-old actor and musician addressed fans directly in a statement posted to social media, apologising to those who had already made plans to attend shows and indicating he hopes to return for American dates at a later time.
In his message, Sutherland said he was cancelling “due to very low ticket sales” and added that he did not think it was fair to play “to half empty houses,” with refunds available from the original point of purchase, People reported.
The decision comes as Sutherland continues promoting his fourth studio album, Grey, after a run of performances across Europe. In a video update shared earlier this week, he told followers the band had finished its European dates and was moving into a stretch of shows in the U.K. over the next month.
Sutherland has spent recent years building a parallel music career alongside his screen work, and he has described Grey as his most personal record, written and recorded between 2024 and 2026. He has said the songs lean less on observation and more on feelings he has been working through in his own life, including the single “Simpler Time,” which reflects on youth and a period he felt was more culturally and politically reliable. His current momentum overseas has been documented in Alternative Nation coverage of his emotional London hometown gig.
For now, fans who were planning to see him on the cancelled U.S. dates will be waiting to see if the tour is rescheduled, while Sutherland keeps his focus on the remaining U.K. shows and continued promotion of Grey.
