Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love has linked to a petition pleading for the release of A$AP Rocky from prison. She also posted a ‘justice’ for Rocky photo. Love wrote, “Sign here.” A Kurt Cobain disgusting Kiss story was recently revealed.

Rocky was recently detained in Stockholm after being accused of serious assault, CNN Swedish affiliate Expressen has reported.

A Change.org petition seeking his release had more than 330,000 signatures.

“On Sunday, June 30th, A$AP Rocky, his bodyguard and two performers from his show acted in self-defense after two men followed, harassed and physically assaulted them in Stockholm,” the petition reads. “Video footage shows the assailants following Rocky and his colleagues, even cutting off where they are trying to walk sometimes, while Rocky pleads to them that he does not want any issues.”

Love linked to a petition that had around 50,000 signatures as of this writing.

Rocky’s manager Chace Infinite said on Monday, “Upon being detained, Rocky was denied his request to counsel which is in violation of Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, to which Sweden is a signatory,” writes Infinite. “Everyone has the same rights to be treated fairly upon detainment and should be given fair and equal access to such rights.”

“The conditions of the facility are horrific. Some of the inhumane conditions Rocky and his colleagues are facing at the Stockholm Detention Center include 24/7 solitary confinement, restriction of amenities for the most basic of human functions, access to palatable and life sustaining food as well as unsanitary conditions.”

Infinite adds that Rocky’s trial on his assault case will begin from the middle to end of August. However, he feels that Rocky and his associates possibly being locked up until August “is a punishment before the fact, with no due process.”

Courtney Love has announced that Soundgarden are part of a class action lawsuit (on behalf of the late Chris Cornell), along with Hole and the estate of Tom Petty, against Universal Music Group. Love made surprising comments after the death of Chris Cornell. The lawsuit appears to allege the iconic musicians have been ripped off financially.

The lawsuit is seeking $100 million and has been filed in Los Angeles, claiming the artists are owed 50% of an additional insurance settlement that Universal got after the master tapes for numerous artists were lost in a 2008 fire. King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano, McPherson LLP and Susman Godfrey jointly filed the lawsuit.

“Yet, even as it kept plaintiffs in the dark and misrepresented the extent of the losses, UMG successfully pursued litigation and insurance claims it was recently reported to have valued at $150 million to recoup the value of the master records.”
