Maynard James Keenan’s store is holding a new Tool album listening party a day before the official release date of the band’s new album. The party will take place on Thursday, August 29th from 4 to 6PM at 140 Main Street in Jerome, Arizona. It is advertised as a free event, “First come – first served. Listen to the new album and reserve your CD for the 8/30 release. We will open an hour early (10AM) for those who reserved a copy of the album.” Maynard James Keenan recently reacted to a bizarre remark about departed Tool bassist Paul D’Amour.
A tweet stated, “Many have asked— Excited to bring you the Tool album release listening party, Aug 29th, at #pusciferthestore in #jeromeaz ! Merkin Pizza Wagon will be onsite and @four8wineworks will be serving small bites by then too. #tool #listeningparty #free #event #newmusic @puscifer @Tool.”
Maynard James Keenan appeared to announce earlier this week with a video that a new Puscifer album will be released in 2021. This will make for a busy few years for Keenan, with A Perfect Circle releasing Eat the Elephant in 2018, Tool releasing their new album in 2019 and presumably continuing to tour in 2020, and a new Puscifer album in 2021.
The new Tool album is set for release on August 30th, and the band have revealed a new Egyptian themed logo that appears to be the look for the new record era, after 13 years of their most recent logo.
