The Motley Crue drummer took a moment before his performance in Hershey today to say thank you and pose for pictures with Harrisburg police, who apparently helped safeguard him this week.
The visit was captured by the City of Harrisburg Twitter account. They also posted a photo. Shout-out to legendary rocker Tommy Lee who wanted to thank Harrisburg’s finest for some protection this week.” the tweet reads, noting that Lee stayed overnight at the Hilton Harrisburg hotel.
The rocker and one-time husband to Pamela Anderson also posed for a photo with Harrisburg mayor Wanda Williams. Motley Crue is performing tonight at Hersheypark Stadium along with Joan Jett, Poison and Def Leppard. The show is scheduled to start around 4 p.m.

Motley Crue are back at full strength, as drummer Tommy Lee played his first full set with the band on “The Stadium Tour” after performing portions of previous shows while playing through broken ribs. Tommy Lee had defied doctor’s orders — despite sustaining four broken ribs — to take part in his band’s long-awaited return to the stage with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts. He had also scared the fans with one of his jokes recently.
Lee was able to take on the full 15-song set after recently upping the amount he had played at a previous stop. This past Saturday (June 25), the drummer added “The Dirt (Est. 1981),” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Primal Scream” and “Kickstart My Heart” to the songs he performed during a show in Philadelphia, but last night (June 28), Lee made it through the full performance for the first time on the tour.
