Pearl Jam‘s official Twitter account recently sent their condolences towards the loss of a dear friend. Glen Rinzler was the official production and stage manager at Seattle’s premier venue – The Showbox. A creepy video Eddie Vedder shot with his ex-wife resurfaced not too long ago. Pearl Jam had many memorable performances at this venue – most notably the band’s 2003 show which was made into the popular concert DVD/Documentary – Pearl Jam: Live At The Showbox. This rumored Pearl Jam 2020 tour delay was recently revealed.
Pearl Jam, along with other A List artists penned an open letter to save the legendary music venue back in 2018, so their history with The Showbox and Mr. Rinzler was very strong. You can read the statement that Pearl Jam posted below:
“Thanks for everything you’ve done for our camp over the years, Glen. Rest easy, friend.”
In other Pearl Jam news, fans on the official Pearl Jam Facebook page were discussing and giving their thoughts on the ten year anniversary of Backspacer:
Tommy posted: “Pearl Jam has always released great albums but they sure have slowed down on album releases. Since Backspacer, 10 years ago, they have only released one album, Lightning Bolt. That is a little saddening but will proudly purchase their next album on release date.”
Mark put: “Always a special album for me, was downloading “Just Breathe” when my wife told me she was expecting our first child. Was magical that I had a PJ (lifelong fave band) track for such a momentous occasion.“
Max stated: “I’m going through some hard stuff right now and Amongst The Waves has kept me going. Thanks again, Pearl Jam. Time and time again, you guys continue to have a huge positive impact in my life. I love you guys ❤️” Eddie Vedder revealed a disgusting Keith Richards story over the weekend.
