It has been noted how Pearl Jam and Motley Crue have been entailed in a heated feud recently. Both Eddie Vedder and Nikki Sixx have been seen taking jabs at each other in the media. Pearl Jam’s Ten Club President Tim Bierman recently hit back at Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx for making some harsh comments on Pearl Jam.

The band’s frontman Eddie Vedder had once stated that he did not like Motley Crue due to their lyricism which is sexist. Eddie Vedder said how he despised the band, and especially the “Girls, Girls, Girls” video. Nikki Sixx took this very personally.

Nikki Sixx on one occasion fired back at Eddie Vedder stating that Eddie could not sing, and that his music was ‘boring.’ After that was disclosed by Nikki Sixx, Eddie Vedder did not respond to any of the comments that Nikki had made on Pearl Jam or himself.

Nikki Sixx also saw many of his fans come to his side on Twitter by stating such things as: “My best friend is about to have a baby. I will recommend Pearl Jam songs to put the baby to sleep hahaha.” Nikki Sixx then suggested that the new parent should just put ‘marbles in their mouth’ and sing as they would soothe the baby even more due to the ‘zen’ of it all.

Jeff Ament wants Motley Crue to be inducted in Rock Hall

Amidst the feud, a photo has surfaced of a t-shirt Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament had custom made for Pearl Jam’s 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. It listed snubbed bands that should be inducted into the Rock Hall, including Motley Crue, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Bon Jovi, Smashing Pumpkins, and Jane’s Addiction.
