Pink Floyd‘s founding member and drummer Nick Mason revealed how the acclaimed Italian film director Michelangelo Antonioni clashed with the group and rejected a good portion of the music that Pink Floyd and Roger Waters had recorded for his 1970 drama film – Zabriskie Point. This Pink Floyd member dropped a 2020 reunion bombshell.

Roger Waters made this disgusting Pink Floyd demand. Mason told Classic Rock Magazine the following:

“I don’t think he exactly hated it, but it’s difficult when someone else has the music in mind for a particular sequence of the film. Antonioni wanted total control, and the only way he could have control of the music was to be able to select from lots of different versions.

Mason continued:

“Whereas before when we’d worked with Barbet Schroeder [director of More and La Vallée, both films with Floyd soundtracks] he would give us the brief, we’d go off and do it and generally he said ’yes, fine’ and we moved on. It [Zabriskie Point] was a bloody hard slog.”

A Pink Floyd icon recently admitted to lip syncing in a video. Reddit user God_IamAmess sang the praises of Pink Floyd’s tenth studio album, Animals, released in 1977 on the group’s subreddit. Posting the following:

“Honestly, I don’t even know what to say – I was completely blown away, I’d listened to “Dogs” and “Pigs on the wing” a few days ago, but listening to the whole album turned out to be one hell of a ride.

The whole experience? Cathartic would be an appropriate term to describe it. I’ve always though that “Animals” is an underrated album but holy crap, I’m in awe just thinking about the chords and the lyrics, might’ve even shed a tear or two…

Every time I listen to Pink Floyd’s music, I fall in love with it again, and again, and again, and again… The emotion, the drive behind the music that pulls you out of your world and into a new one. Every time. Single. Time. Listening to them is a new experience.

I just wanted to share with someone and couldn’t think of a better group of people than a bunch of random strangers online – love you all.”
