Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has confirmed that he had a homosexual experience when he was younger and experimenting, but that he does not identify as gay now. Flea made a terrifying drug claim yesterday. He revealed to Guardian in a new interview that he had ‘gay experiences.’ He said he originally wrote in-depth about it in his book Acid for the Children, but left it out.

“I didn’t want it to be sensationalized,” he explained to Guardian. “To me, it wasn’t a big deal. I was experimenting and it turns out, ‘hey, I’m not gay’. So, it’s not really my story.”

Flea discussed painful Anthony Kiedis fights a few days ago. Flea said he appreciates the Chili Peppers’ connection to the LGBTQ community. In a chapter of Acid for the Children titled Men Don’t Kiss Men, he said his birth father rejecting a kiss from him at the age of six had a major affect on him, leading to him wanting to rebel against male stereotypes.

Early in their career, the Chili Peppers posed for the Los Angeles-based gay porn magazine In Touch. “I felt honored that they wanted us in the magazine,” Flea said. “The gay community in Los Angeles were the first ones to really embrace the Chili Peppers.”

John Frusciante revealed his plans to release unheard music last week. Kenticus69 discussed the Chili Peppers’ future plans on Reddit, “Band was on the Getaway tour for 2016-2017. 2018 the band only played a handful of shows, would have been a good time to put out an older show or two. 2019 they toured Australia and such from late January-mid March and then have had one-off stuff.”

Have to assume 2020 is time for the next album – hopefully they decide to drop some old shows for Christmas???? If I was them, I would get a wide release of the pyramids show on dvd and audio (including the documentary), and would also drop an old show or two (2007 tour would be ideal as it’s not yet represented) all for Christmas this year, but who really knows? Would have to be announced soon to fit release windows, we do know the doc must be close to done as the band viewed a screening of it the other week.”
