Scott Weiland and Slash’s sons Noah Weiland and London Hudson recently debuted the new single “Long Awaited” from their new band Suspect208 with Tye Trujillo and Nico Niko Tsangaris.

Weiland and Hudson had already been collaborating on music together before forming Suspect208, with a new extended single/EP titled Relapse being recorded three months ago featuring the songs: That Summer, Shark Attack, and Tryna Figure It Out. Hudson plays on the latter two songs, which have a fast paced frenetic punky vibe.

“That Summer” has a 2000’s pop punk feel, and definitely has radio potential. Weiland’s vocal delivery on the song has some similarities to his father’s Art of Anarchy project from 2015, but the songs definitely ventures into different territory sonically.

Noah said about the release, “PUT MY HEART N PASSION INTO THESE TRACKS. NO THIS IS NOT A MIXTAPE OR AN ALBUM THIS IS JUST A SNEAK PEAK @ A DIFFERENT SIDE OF ROMAN ! … THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO BROKE ME OUT OF MY PRISON AND HELPED ME WITH THESE SONGS. I PRESENT TO YOU, ‘RELAPSE’ by ROMAN !”

Suspect208’s “Long Awaited” is closing in on 400,000 YouTube views, and Noah Weiland is thankful for the song going viral. Weiland said, “100K FOO. TBH I HAD HIGH HOPES OF THIS SONG GETTING AROUND 10K PLAYS TOTAL OR SOME SHIT BUT NA … I LOVE U GUYS SO FUCKING MUCH WOW💕💕😭 *HAPPIEST MOMENT EVERR.”

Weiland’s first onstage performance came a decade ago with Stone Temple Pilots as he assisted his father in delivering the opening to “Dead and Bloated” at a show in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater in October 2010. London Hudson recently ripped comparisons to Velvet Revolver, GNR, and STP.
