Lenny Kravitz recently discussed opening for Guns N’ Roses on select ‘Not In This Lifetime’ tour dates on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers.
“I was in the Bahamas where I live most of the time, and they asked me if I would come out and do a few shows, so I thought I would just do it for the fun of it. We all came up together, Slash and I went to high school together.”
“We spent most of our time out of the class, playing music.”
“This is great, it’s a stadium tour. They haven’t been together in like 20 years. I was around in the beginning with them, I was around for the hey day, and for all the craziness. It’s really interesting to see them back together, everybody’s really chill, they’re going out on time.”
Seth Meyers then took a potshot at the appearance of Guns N’ Roses’ members, telling Kravitz, “You look great too. If you see a video of you on stage it could literally be any time in the last 30 years, where as when you see Guns N’ Roses, you say…that’s now (laughs).”
Kravitz responded, “They took in a lot more than I did back then. I’m going for the long haul.”
