Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler revealed he is a massive Red Hot Chili Peppers fan in a new video he has uploaded on social media. He wrote, “NOT EXACTLY THE SAME OLD SONG AND DANCE.” Tyler can be seen dancing backstage to the Chili Peppers song “Funky Monks’ off of their 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. The track name also served as the title to the 1991 ‘Funky Monks’ documentary. Steven Tyler was furious after a fan was caught filming him yesterday.

Joe Perry was recently asked about doing a Broadway show for Aerosmith in the vein of ‘Jersey Boys’ and ‘Ain’t Too Proud.’

He told Forbes, “I’d like to think so. We have been approached at the level of, ‘would you want to do it?’ We haven’t even gotten to the level of how it would come out, the creative part. My manager has said there has been some rumblings about it. But we have been so involved with this show. We started almost a year ago with the design and then, as it progressed, it got more and more intense. But it’s certainly something we’d like we would like to entertain when we get a little time.”

He was also asked about advice he was given when he was younger that he has held onto, “There are probably ten or so different things I could say. But just off the top I would say do something that you love for a way to make a living. That is really important. Even if you have to start off doing something that you don’t necessarily see yourself doing in ten years. Work towards that goal. That is one of the most important things you can do.” Steven Tyler called out a miserable fan at an Aerosmith show a few days ago.
