The multi-Grammy award-winning rock band the Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins recently passed away at the age of 50. A picture recently surfaced which saw Hawkins and his daughter. You can check it out below:

Hawkins had created his 2019 album ‘Get the Money.’ It has been noted that one of the songs from the album that gained popularity was ‘Middle Child.’. In an interview with Joe Daly, he had revealed that he made the song for his daughter, Annabelle who was born in 2009.

It was previously revealed that the song was written for his eldest son around 2013 but he hadn’t found proper lyrics. He had revealed that his son expressed his distaste about the music. “If you’re gonna write a song about me, it’s gotta sound like Metallica!”

His daughter, Annabelle had approached him and complained about why a song was not written for her. Thus, Hawkins emerged with some new lyrics and made the song.

Hawkin’s death has saddened the rock fraternity and the band had confirmed the news. The band was due to play at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia.

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the band said in a statement on Twitter.

“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever,” they added.

Taylor had played with the Foo Fighters — one of the US’ most influential and critically-lauded alternative rock bands — since 1997, providing percussion on some of the group’s biggest hits including “Learn to Fly” and “Best of You.” He previously drummed for Canadian indie songstress Alanis Morissette.
