Van Halen Stunning 2020 Tour Rumor Leaks

On Eddie Trunk’s show on SiriusXM on Wednesday, he revealed that he had heard rumors that the original Van Halen lineup reunion tour may not happen until 2020. Alternative Nation transcribed his comments.

“The latest thing I’m hearing from people, and it’s an ongoing odyssey of rumors, so I can’t stress enough, all of this is rumors, but this is the things I hear on the streets. But now the Van Halen tour, if it’s going to happen, it’s going to be next year. It’s going to be a 2020 thing, we’ll see.”

Trunk also recently said that he’d been told an interesting scoop about the Van Halen reunion on a rock cruise. He also said someone told me they had seen Eddie Van Halen at a store where girls were selling girl scout cookies. Exciting stuff.

David Lee Roth hinted in December that Van Halen would be coming to Yankee Stadium with the ‘original thing.’ He hinted at talking with big names like Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica. Will Diamond Dave’s big talk end up being just that, or will he and his Van Halen bandmates follow through on his claims? We’ll have to wait and see.

Black Sabbath recently shared a throwback photo from 40 years ago when they toured with Van Halen. It was near the end of Black Sabbath’s original lineup run, while Van Halen still had years left of their prime run.

Black Sabbath wrote on Instagram, “On tour with Van Halen 1978.”
