Former Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner discussed the band possibly reuniting with a new singer in a recent Appetite for Distortion interview.

I don’t foresee it happening any time soon, because I just can’t imagine how it would happen. I think at this point, especially with the big machine of Guns N’ Roses, I don’t know how it would happen. Maybe when all of the dust from this GNR iteration settled, maybe if there was more time, and someone, the right person came along, who knows?

He also discussed Libertad.

“As an artist, as part of the group, I can’t speak for the general public, but I can speak for internally that I just think we made a record that we weren’t ready to make. I think it was premature, and I think that we should have spent more time writing some more songs.

We wrote over 60 songs worth of music for the first record and gave them to Scott, then he Frankensteined them together and sang on them. The second record we did maybe 35 to 40, but apparently we needed to do more. That’s just my opinion, I think we weren’t ready. I think we threw it together somewhat, and didn’t honor the process we had for the second record.”
