Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash recently posted a bizarre heroin cartoon photo on his social media, leading to many fans being stunned in the comments section. Could it be artwork for new GNR material? We’ll have to see if Axl Rose agrees. Slash was recently furious at a Guns N’ Roses fan for filming him.
gtsserrano commented, “Mom, Slash is posting weird shit again.” phelipe_anjos said, “Daddy slash is posting weird shit again.” There were several more comments along these lines, though Mom seemed to be use more often.
Several unreleased ‘Chinese Democracy’ era Guns N’ Roses songs have leaked in the last few weeks, and fans recently weighed in on Reddit.
dazeytweeter posted, “So many of these unreleased songs are absolutely killer. Why these weren’t officially released is beyond me. This track is like UYI but 10 steps ahead.”
Slash’s family made a sad cancer revelation over the weekend. slashba98 wrote, “There about the splitting up of the band and how he can’t cope with it e.g Hardschool , Atlas Shrugged and Perhaps. I think he just didn’t want to permanently burn any bridges he must of always had the reunion in the back of his mind or else he would of just released them.”
dazeytweeter said, “It’s either that or Axl had doubts. Artists are always their worst critics. The producer at the time (Bob Ezrin) in 1999-2000 said something like ‘there’s only 2 good songs in this’ and I think that’s what lead to all of the re-recording and endless tinkering around Axl did.”
LTS55 chimed in, “Ezrin was never a producer, he was just asked what he thought of a batch of songs. Roy Thomas Baker lead to a lot of the re-recording, then Buckethead leaving, then it snowballed from there.”
slashba98 said, “Yeah I heard that was said at the time when he was recording the tracks. But what I will say is have you noticed how every leaked song so far from that era is literally about Slash and how they all left him like Silkworms , Omg , Atlas , State , Perhaps and Hard school . He surely left all of those songs out of that album for a particular reason and turned that album in a stephanie seymour album because a lot of the songs are about her I think. He obviously wasnt right when he was writing these songs thats what I will say the whole thing must have hit him really hard if he ended up making material like this.” Gene Simmons recently revealed what Slash did with his wife.
