Jimmy Page discussed John Bonham abandoning a Led Zeppelin performance in a new social media post. A creepy Robert Plant restaurant photo was revealed yesterday.

“On this day in 1971, it was the end of the Led Zeppelin tour of Japan. ⁣

This was another recorded concert in Japan at Osaka and the last of a series of successful concerts in this country.⁣

During the acoustic set of ‘That’s the Way’, ‘Going to California’ and ‘Tangerine’, John Bonham nipped off stage and hadn’t returned for the electric ‘What Is and What Should Never Be’. So we continued the acoustic set with a quick re-tune for ‘Friends’ – the first and only time we were to play this song live.⁣

We finished the song and he still wasn’t back. Then, as Robert was to give a rendition of ‘When Smoke Gets in Your Eyes’, he still wasn’t back. With some encouragement from Robert P, the audience chanted ‘Where’s Mr Bonham!’ – he finally re-appeared and we finished the set.” Jimmy Page made a horrifying revelation over the weekend.

Robert Plant is celebrating the second season of his hugely popular podcast, Digging Deep with Robert Plant, with the release of a very special limited edition 7’’ singles box set. Digging Deep includes 16 A-sides and rare B-sides spanning three decades, remastered versions available on vinyl for the first time. The eight-disc collection also features restored artwork from the original 7’’ releases, packaged in a bespoke hardback book. A Led Zeppelin icon’s night with Princess Diana was revealed last week.
