David Crosby, of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and The Byrds fame, said he does not like Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, or Eddie Vedder’s music in a new fan Q&A. Crosby recently said he wasn’t a fan of Eddie Van Halen after his death. Jerry Cantrell just confirmed a new Alice In Chains release with Layne Staley.
What is your opinion on 90s Grunge? Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mad Season, Temple of the Dog etc. I remember Tom Petty said he was a fan because it was the antithesis of the 80s hair metal.
“I did not like any of those bands.”
Do you still love Neil?
“I love his music …..hmm ..do I still love the guy ?….probably yes … it’s not like a faucet you can turn on and off …he’s pissed off at me and we will probably never light off that chemistry again …but yeah now that I think about it …yes.”
Do you have a favorite Halloween costume you ever dressed up as?
“When Lily Collins was a child she used to call me the pea man because I love green peas …so her mom had a costume made I was a four foot across giant pea in green tights and curled up shoes ..it was spectacular …we went trick or treating for Halloween.”
