In other news revolving KISS and Sophie Simmons’ ‘demon dad’ Gene Simmons, fans of the ‘hottest band in the land recently took to social media via the official subreddit of the group to recall their first KISS concert and memories from that show.
Gene Simmons just revealed if KISS are too old to be performing. One user, rsouth71 wrote: ” My first show was February 10, 1988, at The Omni in Atlanta. Ted Nugent was the opener. Some guy tried to jump on stage but security grabbed him as he almost made it. They began to usher him out when Paul tapped security on the shoulder and told them to turn him loose. I proceeded to pull him up on stage and let him help sing the chorus to the song they were playing and then let him go back into the audience. I will never forget that. It was easy to see why they call Ted The Motor City Madman too!”
The_Khondor put: “The first time was on the Dynasty tour, 1979 San Antonio, Tx. I was 10 and unfortunately don’t remember much other than it was very loud, there was a strange smell in the air, and they played a lot of songs I didn’t know (didn’t have the Dynasty album yet). My grandfather was in misery the entire time, but he hung in there for me. Love you Pop. I also saw them last on the reunion tour in 1996. Awesome show. My only regret, not seeing them live during the Eric Carr years.” Gene Simmons daughter ‘terrible’ photo in jeans revealed.
