Howard Stern recently revealed if Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong hates Weezer despite them going on the ‘Hella Mega’ tour with Fall Out Boy. Alternative Nation transcribed Howard and Billie Joe’s comments.

Howard Stern: Even with this new tour you guys are putting together, it’s Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy. From what I’ve heard, you said, and I think this is kind of romantic, the idea of those bands in the 60’s and 70’s, even like Woodstock, you go out and all these bands would be hanging out together. It seems very cool, the fact that you, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy will be on tour together.

Is there going to be camaraderie, or are all of you going to be separated? What do you think is going to happen? Because it seems like what if The Who, The Rolling Stones, and The Beatles went out together? It would be pretty cool.

Billie Joe Armstrong: Absolutely, I mean we’re friends with those guys, and we’ve been friends with Weezer, they put out the Blue record.

Howard: Great band, right? Howard Stern revealed what’s wrong with Weezer a few months ago.

Billie Joe: Fantastic, same with Fall Out Boy. All of us kind of come from a similar background, so it’s nice. I think there’s going to be a lot of just hanging out, going bowling.

Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy will launch the ‘Hella Mega’ tour on June 13th in Paris, and after a short run of European shows, the tour will move to North America on July 17th in Seattle at T-Mobile Park. Green Day confirmed tragic news last week.
