On Twitter recently, original bassist for Metallica Ron McGovney responded to Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello. Morello himself posted an interesting, if not tall tale, about how he was praised at Disneyland by one of the properties’ bartenders.

Yesterday I went into the Cantina at the new Star Wars land at Disneyland and the bartender leans over, sneakily gives me this, and whispers, “It’s not often we get a Resistance General in here. Thank you for your service.” I almost cried.

This prompted McGovney, bewildered with the idea that you could even drink that “The Happiest Place on Earth” with the following:

“Since when can you drink at Disneyland? In the 80s , we took the monorail to the Disneyland Hotel to drink. Nothing like being hammered while riding Space Mountain!”

In other news regarding Metallica, fans of the metal group discussed their 1988 single ‘Eye of the Beholder’ and it’s legacy in a new topic on the Metallica subreddit. A Metallica icon freshly reacts to horrible arrest rumor.

Dmkolobanov commented: “The lyrics are great, but in an album full of bangers, it does stand out as a weak spot. The riffs, apart from the chorus, are kinda weak by Justice standards. Likewise, it’s probably Kirk [Hamlett]’s weakest solo on that album, except maybe Harvester of Sorrow (amazing song, just don’t like the solo too much).”

N0obie wrote: “I don’t care for the track whatsoever. The riffs do nothing for me, I dont like how James [Hetfield] sounds like he’s underwater, and it being on AJfA [..And Justice For All] already makes the overall production terrible by default. It’s easily blown away by literally every other song on the album.” This Metallica member was kicked off stage at a bad show.
