Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder debuted a new song called “I’ll Be Waiting” last weekend at the Rock4EB show in Malibu, California. He performed the song with frequent tour opener Glen Hansard, and said he’d been working on the song with him for the last few days. PearlJamOnline.it reported that Vedder said, “This song is about help and being ready to help.” Eddie Vedder ‘messed up’ a Pearl Jam classic recently.

moonfrye wrote on social media, “One of the greatest nights with these incredibly inspiring friends. @j__vedder I love you and all the incredible work you are doing to #healeb. Eddie & @glenhansard SO brilliant! Thank you for keeping the journalist in me forever moved. #healeb #ebrp #ebresearch #rock4eb.”

A massive 2020 Pearl Jam European rumored show was revealed last week. Matt Cameron and Mike McCready resurfaced on Wednesday night at Peter Frampton’s show to perform “Black Hole Sun.” Frampton joined the surviving members of Soundgarden in January 2019 at the ‘I Am The Highway’ Chris Cornell tribute show to perform the song. McCready was not present for that performance or at the show at all, along with Pearl Jam bandmate Eddie Vedder, who was also absent.

Pearl Jam are expected to release their new album in 2020 and kick off a North American tour, their first extensive one since 2016, and their first American shows since the 2018 ‘Home and Away’ limited stadium run. Eddie Vedder is also rumored to have a new solo album in the works, with his wife Jill Vedder hinting earlier this year that he was simultaneously working on two new albums. Vedder has not released a new album of original new music since the 2013 Pearl Jam album Lightning Bolt. Eddie Vedder ‘finishing’ with Pearl Jam was recently revealed.
