A Rush superfan and radio shock-jock got the gift of a lifetime as during a recent Geddy Lee book signing as ‘The Professor of Rock’ and K-Rock 97.5’s Chris Batstone had a memorable encounter with the Rush icon and got a signed, personalized copy of Lee’s acclaimed book – ‘Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass’. Rush singer Geddy Lee ‘ready’ for return with new drummer.

The book was a gift for Batstone’s mother as the radio host wrote about the experience on Twitter saying: “Don’t usually post gifts but had to do this one. Thanks so much to Geddy Lee from Rush for treating my Mom so great. Thanks for the personal message. Two people who inspire me right here” Geddy Lee reveals disturbing Rush bandmate demand.

In other revolving Rush and Geddy Lee, fans of the legendary prog-rock trio took to the group’s subreddit to discuss and debate their favorite Rush bass lines. One user wrote: “There are songs where Geddy’s bass seems to “drive” the song, and “The Analog Kid” was the first one I thought of when I thought of favorite bass lines. Alex has a ripping solo on this one, too, and I’ve always loved the “When I leave, I don’t know what I’m hoping to find/When I leave, I don’t know what I’m leaving behind” couplet. Great song!”

Geddy Lee was savagely disrespected by Rush fan at a restaurant recently. Whereas another proclaimed: “The whole of; but I’m with ya. As far as really being able or wanting or finding use of to these “best-favorite” things, not… but Digital Man does strike me always when I think of Geddy bass Beauty.”
