Maynard James Keenan recently made a hilarious ‘drunk’ joke about a Tool classic in a social media interaction with a fan. A Tool member ‘forgetting’ how long a song was is detailed in a recent story.

A fan named James asked, “Thanks for a great show in Atlanta! Will you ever perform Sober again?” Keenan responded, “I Never perform sober. Stage fright. Wait. What was the question? (Thanks for the set up.) @tool @puscifer @aperfectcircle #comedyfirstandalways.”

WhosGotTheCheetos posted about a recent Nashville show on Reddit, “To the audience at Bridgestone Center last night.. This concert is by far the best experience I’ve ever had. From the Fear Inoculum opener and the Jambi surprise solo I had a blast and I hope you did too. I love sharing this “possibly” once in a lifetime event with you all and had an absolute ball. This is everything I hoped for and more. They even played my Swamp Song!!! You guys raised hell when Maynard got on mic again and I’m so proud to be apart of such an amazing demographic. I love you all \M/ Keep rocking out my friends.”

cpierce5 said about the band’s show in Atlanta, “Their Descending > Forty six and two was my favorite part of maybe any Tool show. The way they ended Descending with that final solo / climax was absolutely stunning.

I felt like Justin was shooting light out of his instrument when it dropped. Then right into the best 46 and 2 I’ve heard yet. It was amazing. Invincible was also the most polished version I had seen to date, you could tell they had really gotten in rhythm with the new songs compared to the tour legs before the album release.”

YogaLatteNerd added, “I’m not ok man. That shit last night just f***ing wrecked me. Lol. First ever Tool show.

I have been avoiding looking at set lists, so I managed to forget that they’d play Jambi. Goddamn that intro is killer. 46&2 is just pure nostalgia for me and I was rocking so fucking hard for that one. They killed it for sure. I don’t listen to CCT on the album very often, but it was incredible to see Danny doing his thing live. The breakdown in Invincible. I could go on and on.

I was very impressed with A&P, but I thought I’d heard something about drones? Maybe I misunderstood. Anyway I’m looking forward to seeing him from a closer seat on Friday. Next up: Memphis. Can’t f***ing wait.” Maynard James Keenan just ‘no showed’ a big Tool event.
