Frances Bean Cobain has criticized the Christmas classic “Baby It’s Cold Outside” for being ‘rapey.’
“‘You Are My Sunshine’ is actually this sad ballad about being left for someone else & ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ is about date rape ..the fuck.”
She then responded to a critic, “Then it’s an anthem suggesting that women should concede into a man’s advances after repeatedly saying no … that’s still rapey.”
