In other news revolving Gene Simmons and KISS, fans of the band took to the official Facebook page of the group to discuss “Monster”, KISS’ 20th studio album. The album was released on October 9th, 2012.
Cathy stated: “Freak – altho there are soo many — I used freak to help my grandkids (teens) realize that being unique and an individual is a gift — they should embrace it and let the haters and nay-sayers just dry up and blow away …they have been KISS fans since birth…and EndOfTheRoad was their 1st KISS concert – so good, we had a see it twice and road tripped to Charlotte from Atlanta just to do that”
Nikk posted: “Man. I love KISS. It seemed, like many bands, when they did the reunion, as pumped as we were about it, we got the feeling this was the final lap. Subsequent albums didn’t get the anticipation that one would get from a new album from a going concern. Sadly, as big of a fan as I am, I didn’t get and didn’t listen. I said goodbye when I felt like they did in 1996. I’m not hating at all. They were such a force in my life and a part of who I am, that I can only be grateful for enriching my young life the way they did. Nothing but love and respect for KISS, but this album came about long after that influence. Yes, I will always buy a ticket. A part of me will die when this tour is over. But their spirit lives in me until my last breath”
The daughter of Gene Simmons wears a creepy mask in this video. James said: ” I’m so glad a lot of KISS fans like this album. I’ve been a KISS fan since I was first introduced to them at 11. That was 44 years ago. I have all of their albums including this one. I’ve seen them like 7 times. I just saw them back in March and it was one of the best shows I’ve seen by them. I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of this one or Sonic Boom. It’s growing on me though. Rock on KISS fans! Oh yeah, Shout Mercy is probably my favorite.”
