Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page called out Robert Plant for not saying hello to him at a 1988 concert, going as far as to even wearing a disguise. Robert Plant discussed spending a night with an A-list female singer yesterday.
“On this day in 1988, Outrider played The Centrum, Worcester, MA, which was one of the best shows we played on the ’88 tour.
Robert Plant with his solo tour, had re-routed to start following up our dates and in fact, at Worcester, he played the following day on the 30th. He disguised himself and slipped in to see the show. It’s a shame he didn’t say hello.
Also on this day Chris Dreja photographed the members of Led Zeppelin for the back cover of Led Zeppelin I in 1968.”
Jimmy Page recently revealed what he’s been doing since he stopped touring. “When I was at art college in 1963, I was asked to play on ‘Your Momma’s Out Of Town’ and ‘Somebody Told My Girl’ by Carter-Lewis and The Southerners and today sees the release of the single.
I had a free reign on the b-side of this and there had been a lot of interest in who the guitarist had been on this track – this was to open a tightly-closed door to the world of studio session musicians. Also on this day in 1979, all nine of @LedZeppelin albums appeared in the @Billboard album chart, with the new ‘In Through the Out Door’ at No. 1.” Jimmy Page’s girlfriend made an awful money revelation recently.
