The official Instagram account for late The Beatles icon John Lennon posted the following photo. The photo is actually a delightful throwback of Lennon circa 1968 with his son Julian next to two stuffed animals, a panda, and koala around the time he was divorcing Cynthia Powell. Paul McCartney wrote “Hey Jude” about Julian after John broke up with his mother to be with Yoko Ono. While the plush animals could look weird to some eyes now this is certainly one adorable photo. John Lennon looks strung out on heroin in this sad photo.
Lennon’s account had this to say about the picture: “John with his then four-year-old son Julian plus panda and koala – at home at Kenwood, St. George’s Hill, Weybridge, Surrey, UK on 29 June 1967.”⠀
