Interviewer: You’re doing another thing that I think is really cool. You’re just announcing a compression bra for women who have had a mastectomy. It’s personal to you, you’ve lost your mother to breast cancer. Why was this important to you?
Stella McCartney: Exactly for that reason. I was with a friend of mine a few years ago and she just had a double mastectomy. It just took me back to what my mother went through and the double mastectomy is so demoralizing and unfeminine. So I thought that you are going through all of that and can’t feel feminine or sexy and celebrate your body still. So I designed a double mastectomy bra with organic cotton and my aim really with the Stella McCartney Cares Foundations is to give everyone who has had a double mastectomy one for free. So we are doing good, we are doing good on it. Paul McCartney horrible Pink Floyd ‘confrontation’ revealed.
