Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready discussed working with Layne Staley in Mad Season in a new SiriusXM interview. PJNB transcribed his remarks on the Ten Club boards, though it should be taken as a paraphrase as he couldn’t rewind. A Pearl Jam member revealed recently if he fears a breakup.

SiriusXM asked, “Talking about album any what comes to mind when reflecting on particular work you were apart of/favorite difficult to play live.”

McCready responded, “In terms of records, Mad Season comes to mind. It came off way deeper and darker because of Layne. Goes into more details, but missed a lot of it.”
