Former Metallica member Ron McGovney recently took to social media via Twitter take part in some light-hearted mocking over the MLB’s Houston Astros tweeting a recap over their annual fan-fest. The one-time Metallica bassist responded to the post, which you can view below with me a meme that says: “Sorry, I’m trash” with an unknown person hiding inside of a trash can. Jason Newsted’s tragic new Metallica photo revealed.

McGovney also followed this up by tweeting out in response to a baseball fan account that made light that the Astros’ Astros locker display in Baseball Hall of Fame has a trash can nearby saying: “The trash can has a gold top. It has to be part of the display”

Metallica’s ex-bassist unloads on Lars Ulrich disrespect. McGovney is clearly not a Houston Astros fan but he also was quite obviously pointing out to the irony of the team celebrating anything after a major bombshell scandal shocked the sporting world. The Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal has its origins in 2017 and was exposed publicly in 2020. The investigation confirmed that the Astros illegally used a camera system to steal signs during the 2017 regular season and postseason, during which they won the World Series, as well as in part of the 2018 season.

In other news regarding Metallica fans recently took to social media via the band’s official Facebook page to discuss the legacy of one of Metallica’s most classic music videos, which debuted thirty-one years ago – ‘One’. Mathew said: “It’s rare for something to live up to expectations/anticipation but this video absolutely blew away all of those expectations of a Metallica video. Us fans had no idea that we’d get the best video ever made on this day.” While Hendrik wrote: “Always reminds me of my older sister, who showed me the musical genius of Metallica and Rammstein back in the days. She passed away in 2013, that’s why this song gets me into very deep emotions and memories every time I listen to it. I’ll never forget when I got the black album as a gift from her” A Metallica icon reveals this Dave Mustaine ‘sickness’ photo.
