The official Twitter account for Paul McCartney‘s acclaimed group – the Beatles recently tweeted a pretty standard question: “what got you into the Beatles.” To everyone’s surprise, this was answered by none other than Pete Best. Paul McCartney leaks ‘bloated’ Johnny Depp photo.

Best is ‘best’ known for having been the Beatles’ original drummer prior to their achieving worldwide fame. After he was dismissed from the group in 1962, he started his own band, the Pete Best Four, and later joined many other bands over the years. He is one of several people who have been referred to as the Fifth Beatle. Best tweeted out the following: “Paul phoned me and asked me to join. That’s what got me into The Beatles.”

In other news about The Beatles and this subject, fans recently took to social media to reflect if Pete Best truly deserves to be called a ‘Beatle’ like Paul McCartney and others. Scrantonstrangler06 wrote: “It depends on your definition of “Beatle.” Best played music with the other members of The Beatles as The Beatles in concerts. If that’s your definition of Beatle, then Stuart Stucliffe, Billy Preston, and Jimmy Nicol are also Beatles.” Paul McCartney leaks ‘gross’ George Harrison photo.

The user continued: “If your definition is that they have to be on an album, then Pete Best is not a Beatle, but Billy Preston, George Martin, and Yoko Ono are Beatles (she is on Bungalow Bill FYI). I would say that Pete Best is best suited for a group called “people associated with the Beatles.” That would include all the aforementioned names along with Harry Nilsson (who helped with the production of Revolution 9 and hung out in the recording studio during parts of The White Album), Brian Epstein, Neil Aspinall, Jeff Lyne (who produced “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love”), and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Maybe there are others too. Paul McCartney recently caught wearing terrible wig in photo.
