Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl told a hilarious story about his friend Tim Montana trying to wrestle him at a restaurant in a new CMT interview. Alternative Nation transcribed Grohl and Montana’s comments. Dave Grohl was stunned by a brutal Prince death secret a few days ago.

Tim Montana: What’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever seen me do?

Dave Grohl: Uh, try to wrestle me in a f**king really fancy Greek restaurant in New York.

Tim: And a Navy Seal stopped that.

Dave: Thank God.

Dave Grohl was spotted driving in a ridiculous car a few days ago. Later on Dave and Tim discussed an alternate career path.

Tim: If you didn’t do music, what do you think you would have done?

Dave: I wanted to be a graphic artist.

Tim: Do you design any Foo Fighters shirts?

Dave: F**k no. Want to sell those, no. I mean, the day I picked up a guitar I really wanted to be a musician, but I can’t read music and I never took lessons to do it so I thought, ‘Well, I’ll just play in bands and jam around.’ I worked in a furniture warehouse and stuff like that. But I was happy doing that, because I’d work all week long and then have this band, and we’d go play gigs, and that was fun. But then eventually I thought okay I’m going to learn how to read drum music, like sheet music, become a studio drummer, make money playing music, and then put myself through college and get a real job.

Tim: What do you think the real job was, graphic design?

Dave: When Nirvana got famous, I thought f**k all that shit. I don’t know, I honestly don’t know.

Foo Fighters revealed how much Dave Grohl pays them when it comes to financial splits a few days ago.
