Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum has revealed a rare photo of 4/5 of the core Use Your Illusion lineup reuniting in 2002 to write new music, featuring himself, Izzy Stradlin, Slash, and Duff McKagan. Stradlin left, and the band eventually became Velvet Revolver with Dave Kushner, and Scott Weiland later joining in 2003. Slash broke his silence on a fired Guns N’ Roses bandmate a few days ago.
Sorum wrote, “Early period of writing with Slash, Duff, and Izzy for what became Velvet Revolver , some of those songs ended up on Izzy’s solo album Like A Dog photo by Gene Kirkland.”
Guns N’ Roses have announced that they will play ‘Vive Latino 2020’ In March in Mexico City in March. Fans speculated on MyGNRForum.com if this date could be one of the first of a new album tour, after a Reddit account claiming to be GNR manager Fernando Lebeis recently stated that there would be new music in the next six months. Green Day’s singer was photographed drinking with a Guns N’ Roses member earlier this week.
Jamillos posted, “Nothing new. What I would be actually afraid of is more and more new dates gradually flowing in during these upcoming months, leaving us with 20 to 30 dates stretching to late summer, without a hint of new material to come…As long as it’s just March/April, it’s still ok. We don’t know what’s going on with the record, but I don’t believe F’s “6 months” propaganda at any rate.”
GNRFanJen said, “The ‘new album’ being ‘released’ in March 2020 is probably *cough* bullshit, but it would be pretty cool if they made that announcement before these tour dates started (so early March), and finally debuted something new at these shows. We’ve said it before, the Mexican GNR fanbase along with South American fans are rabid for this band. They shouldn’t have a single worry about its reception….ah who am I kidding. We’re gonna get the same set list and we’re gonna have to like it.”

This just seems like such bullshit … As of right now I’m expecting multiple shows through 2020 and no official word on new music.” A Guns N’ Roses member ripped an Axl Rose performance in the studio last week.
